Fifth graders have been looking at picture books. I read aloud to them The Boy Who Loved Math: The Improbably Life of Paul Erdos, by Deborah Heiligman. We discussed the central idea and the questions below as we read. Students then read other picture books about creative people and shared their connections with others in small groups.
Fourth graders began their cybersafety centers last week. They did a great job inquiring into how to recognize spam emails, being safe while talking online, understanding what a good digital citizen means, and exploring using keywords to find information.
