Our favorite GA Book Award books!

Noah
- My favorite book was The Girl From Felony Bay. It’s my favorite because it is very intense. It had me wanting to stay up all night reading. I think everybody should read it because it can teach kids how to stand up to people and never give up.

Sam F. - My favorite Reading Bowl book was The Girl from Felony Bay.It is full of adventure, mystery, and action and I couldn't put it down. This book should definitely win the GA Book Award because it is a book that has a little bit of everything. It takes place in South Carolina on an island where Aby Force tries to figure out the mystery of Felony Bay.So will she and her friend find out why all of a sudden No Trespassing signs have popped up all over the land that is only occupied by nature.

Teagan -
My favorite book in the reading bowl was called A Snicker of Magic. I think it was the best book because it included things some people could relate to. It also included things that will make you show emotion. Sometimes so much emotion that you might burst out laughing or start crying. It has a great plot, great characters and a great story.

Erin -
My favorite Reading Bowl book is A Snicker of Magic I think that this was a very detailed, easy to read book I thought it was amazing and in my opinion it should be the winner of the GA book award because this book was inspiring to me and I got engulfed into it after a few chapters.

Lily -
My favorite reading bowl book was A Snicker Of Magic. This book was my favorite because as I read the book, it was like a movie in my mind. From the very first chapter, I knew it was a fabulous book. In this book there are so many connections to other things in the book. A Snicker of Magic should definitely win the GA Book Award!

Quin - My favorite book was Nickel Bay Nick. It was my favorite book because it is cool to see how a kid that is a robber change to someone that helps people out. I also like this book because there are a lot of cliffhangers!

Ben -
My favorite book is probably Loot. This is because it was always fast paced and interesting. Also because I love solving puzzles in books. I think other kids should read it because it would be a good page turner. Also it would be an awesome book for a book club. I don’t think it should win the GA Book Award because it really only appeals to people who like solving puzzles or likes books about thieving. I think other kids would want to read it because it may start slow but never loses it pace after. Also because it’s very nerve racking when you have to put it down on a part really interesting.

Luke -
My favorite book is the Mark of the Dragonfly. This book is my favorite because it was the most action packed book of the 18 selected. It was also my favorite because it had a lot of mythical characters these characters added to the excitement.

Simeon - The best reading bowl book was Prisoner B-3087 because it had cool plot . Especially because he survived the Nazis. It should win the GA  book award. You should read it because he has to survive through numerous concentration camps and stay away from the Nazis.

Stay tuned for more guest blogging by our reading bowl students!
