I came across this article in the ALA newsletter this month about library cats. F.AVE has its own library cat tradition that began when we found Chapter, the library cat, along with all of his food and, of course, a book to read. Shortly after discovering Chapter, we discovered his slightly smaller sister, Page. Unfortunately, Chapter was adopted (without permission) by a small child (we suspect). Chapter and Page inspired us to get more library cats, some that we could actually cuddle. Perhaps someday we can get an actual library cat. We have a homemade magazine so students can learn more about the history of library cats around the world and here at F.AVE! We compiled a few articles and photos and have a hard copy in the library.
