Last week, we had our last Newbery Book Club meeting of the year! Students presented their films! Most of the students created 90 Second Newbery Films, where they had to film the entire plot of the book in as close to 90 seconds as they could! A couple did book trailers, which is basically a movie trailer for a book. All of the books were either Newbery winners or books that we read for our Mock Newbery list (books we hoped might win).

After watching our films, students chose any book they had loved reading this year and wrote a Book Review Bookmark about that book. At the beginning of NEXT year, those books will be displayed on our brand new student book review shelf! We will be expanding that project with our Junior Media Specialists (or something along those lines), stay tuned for more about that!
