We are celebrating National School Library Month this week, and we have tons going on! I have been working to update our book recommendations on our website and here in the library. The kids were especially excited about our Warriors Read-Alike list and our What To Do When We Don't Have It At F.AVE lists. We have also completed our collection of F.AVE library cats just in time for School Library Month! Our Golden Ticket contest is in full swing too! All over our media center, we have hidden golden tickets and seals for students to find. If a student checks out a book with a golden ticket inside, they can win a prize by reading the book, and either passing an AR test or writing me a book review. We've already had a couple of winners, and many more are reading their books right now! We have created a few special displays for School Library Month too! One is dedicated to Beverly Cleary, who just celebrated her 100th birthday on Tuesday. We can't keep books on this display because the kids love her so much. The other is based on a Top 100 Children's Book list that we totally love! We just put this display up with books from the top ten, and we will keep adding to it, because we know those books will disappear quickly. And lastly, but definitely not the least, we would like to thank Ms. Baker, Mrs. "Art" (Radford), and all the students who have given us flowers and made us hearts to go up in the media center! We love you guys too! I've posted a few of our hearts below, but we have many more, and they are all wonderful. Comments are closed.
